I’m a Minnesota native from birth and grew up in the western part of the state. I earned a bachelor’s degree from Bemidji State University, and after graduating I spent the first part of my career working in the radio industry—first in selling and later as a general manager. It was fun and interesting work, but over time I felt a pull and desire to help people. I wanted to make a positive impact in the world, and I couldn’t be happier that I found my way to State Farm. I also found my way to a wonderful woman— I’ve been married for over 30 years and have two children who are nearly grown. In my free time, I enjoy traveling around the U.S. and abroad, and coaching youth sports both at the elementary and high school levels.
